Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Walk-in Surgery Suspended

From Thursday 12th March, the walk-in surgery at Ridgmount Practice will be suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are offering phone triage consultations on the day to try and lessen the need for patients to attend walk-in surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic. You will need a UK phone number for these.

Please call the Surgery on 020 7387 6306 from 9:00am on the day Monday to Friday to speak to a receptionist.

Important information about COVID-19

The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

EVERYONE must stay at home and follow the latest Government guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This includes people of ALL ages – even if you do not have any symptoms or other health conditions.

If you do need to go outside, please practice social distancing and stay 2 metres (3 steps) away from other people.

If you are high risk for COVID-19, you will receive a letter from NHS England, please follow the shielding guidance.

Please continue to stay at home if you have COVID-19 symptoms:
 • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
 • a new, continous cough – you have been coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

To protect others, please DO NOT book an appointment, or go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

  • Obtain a COVID-19 isolation note using NHS 111 online: https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note.                                          GP surgery's do not have capacity to issue sick notes or letters for employers.
